No One Is Disposable

No One Is Disposable is an informally associated community formed by a working group of people who believe nobody deserves to be exiled and that to heal and grow means being given the opportunity to make amends.

We work to surface resources for people and organisations going through social exclusion and navigating hurt in communities, drawing from personal experience of callouts, cancellation and trauma.

We provide resources and community for people going through social exile, sometimes referred to as cancellation. This might be due to enacting harm in relationship with others (real or alleged), espousing or being perceived to hold views which were deemed unacceptable for a social group or space, or other more nebulous reasons. We believe that regardless of what happened, what was said, or what you’ve heard, everyone deserves the space and opportunity to grow, and that our communities are stronger without a culture of disposability.

If you need support with social ostracisation, you can join our moderated Discord server with space to get advice, seek outreach, vent, and socialise.

We also maintain a resource library where you can read around cancellation, ostracisation, police and prison abolition, community resilience and more. We encourage submissions of new resources which are moderated before publication.

We approach these issues from a leftist perspective. We believe in liberation, safety and freedom for all people and ask that our spaces remain free of derogatory and offensive comments towards others. We know that if you’re here, you’re probably experiencing or have experienced some level of hurt or trauma which can colour your actions. We aim to uphold the principle that discussion is entered into in good faith, and if you feel you are no longer able to respond in line with your integrity that you step away from that discussion.
